How can I pay less on WhatsApp?

Prefer utility over marketing whenever the message allows, because utility costs less. What changed on October 1, 2026?

Since October 1, 2026 Meta charges the service message (the free-form reply inside the 24-hour window) and also the utility message sent inside that window, at the per-message price of the country. Each business phone number has 1,000 free service messages per month, which do not roll over to the next month. For Solution Providers and directly integrated businesses without a payment method on file, Meta delivers service messages inside the free tier and stops delivering them after it.

Prices come from the official Meta rate card in USD for the Brazil market, in effect since October 1, 2026 and downloaded from the platform documentation on October 4, 2026. It is the list price: utility and authentication have volume discount tiers, which you apply by editing the rate; marketing and service do not. Meta only updates prices on the first day of each quarter, so check the table before closing a large budget.
